The remains of Deaconess Patience Ahuama (Nworima), have been laid to rest at her husband’s compound, Umuokorombele village, Umugo Amaiyi Autonomous community in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area of Abia State.

Preaching during the funeral service organized by The Seventh Day Adventist Church, Eziukwu Aba Township District, Aba, Pastor Chikezie Sunday stressed the need for all to always live their life’s with the consciousness of eternity in view.

Late Deaconess Ahuama laid to rest amid tears and eulogies

Pastor Sunday while describing death as a necessary end for all mortals, reminded all that a day of judgement is coming when all will give account of their stewardship on earth.

He described Late Deaconess Patience Ahuama as a dedicated and committed member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Eziukwu Aba Township District, who derives great joy working in the vineyard of God.

The clergyman admonished the bereaved family not to weep as those without hope but to remain strong and united and ensure they continue to uphold their late mother’s sterling qualities.

In a biography, one of the granddaughters of the deceased, Miss Chinagorom Supuruchi Chukwudi, described her late grandmother as a woman with a large heart and one that derives great joy in sharing whatever she has with others.

In an interview, the Chief Mourner and husband of the deceased, Deacon Sunday Ahuama, who could not hold back his tears, described his late wife, Deaconess Patience Ahuama as an embodiment of wisdom and beauty, his strength, confidant and prayer warrior who devoted her time to the service of God and humanity.

Deacon Ahuama explained that the death of his beloved wife has not only dealt his family a heavy blow but also created a big vacuum in their hearts. He prayed God to accept and grant her soul a peaceful repose.

“She was my best friend, my closest companion and confidant, my strength and joy. It’s still like a dream to me. Can’t believe my dear wife has left me to go be with her creator. May God accept her gentle soul in peace, Amen.”, said Deacon Ahuama.

In their condolence messages, a cross section of motor union leaders in the state, a former commissioner and some PDP stalwarts enjoined the Ahuama family to remain strong and courageous as well as prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

In a vote of thanks, the first son of the deceased and former Deputy Transition chairman of Ugwunagbo Local Government Area, Hon. Chukwudi Ahuama popularly known as ESHIWE, described his late mother, Deaconess Patience Ahuama, as a peaceful, easy going, generous, loving, caring and God fearing woman who devoted her life and time to the service of God and humanity.

Hon. Ahuama disclosed that death has taken a precious jewel from their family at a time she’s needed most. He appreciated the church, friends, well-wishers and all that came to identify with his family during their moment of grief and prayed God to lead them back to their respective destinations safely.

In his words, “Am still in shock and honestly finds it extremely difficult to come to terms that my beloved mother and prayer warrior is no more. Though we’re pained, our consolation lies in the fact that mama lived an impactful life and I have no doubt that she’s in a better place devoid of sickness and pains.”

Aged 75, Late Deaconess Patience Ahuama is survived by husband, Deacon Sunday Ahuama, children, grandchildren, in-laws and a host of other relatives.

Our correspondent reports that the funeral service which featured condolences messages, prayers for the bereaved family also attracted the presence of motor union operators across the state and beyond, People’s Democratic Party PDP and All Progressive Party APC Stalwarts, traditional rulers, the clergy, in-laws among other notable personalities.
