The new Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, Mr. Danladi Isa, has reassured the Abia State Government of his determination to ensure adequate peace and maximum security across the state.

CP Isa, who gave the assurance during a familiarization visit to the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, in his office at Government House Umuahia, described security as the bedrock of the development of any society.

Receiving the new Commissioner of Police in his office, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, disclosed that the present administration in Abia State, ably led by Governor Alex Otti, is fully committed to partnering with security agencies in the state to ensure the adequate protection of the lives and property of citizens.

Pastor Ajagba assured him that his office would provide the necessary support to enable him to discharge his duties effectively.

The Abia State Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Christopher Okoro, accompanied CP Danladi on the visit.

Meanwhile, CP Danladi who is currently the 34th Commissioner of Police in Abia State took over from Mr. Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, who was recently elevated to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police.
