The Abia State Government in conjunction with the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) says it is set to commence the clearing of the land acquired for the development of Mass Housing by the FHA.
A release signed by the Abia State Commissioner for Land and Housing, Mr. Chaka Chukwumerije says the acquired land is situated within these communities in Umuahia North Local Government, Atta Emede Nkpuru, Umuda, Umuire, Umuawa (Opara Nkaru) and Umuawa Alaocha Communities.
The release enjoins everyone with any claims to the said area of acquisition, to come to the site and identify same, while the enumeration is on-going by the designated Estate Surveyors and Valuers.
It adds that the acquisition is in accordance with the provisions of the Land Use Act and strictly for overriding interest.
The release further states that government will not take it lightly with any person or group of persons who are instrumental to frustrating the good effort of the Governor in the course of development of the state.
