The Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti has felicitated the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere on the occasion of his 51sth birthday celebration and 18th anniversary of the church.
Speaking at OPM headquarters, Mbodo Aluu in Rivers State, Governor Otti disclosed that nothing gives joy than appreciating God for his divine mercies and celebrating one when alive.
The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba described the celebrant, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere as a global champion, revered spiritual father of the state and one God has blessed Abia with.
The State Chief Executive applauded the celebrant for impacting life’s positively especially in the areas of providing free education, hospitals, accomodations, empowerments and scholarships to indigent people and called on other ministers to emulate his sterling qualities.
“We are here today to celebrate a great man of God, God’s own gift to Abia State, God’s own gift to Nigeria, Africa and indeed the black race.
“We want to celebrate you together with your dear wife who has been helping you in this great work. The great work you have been doing are very evident.
“One thing that stands out is that anytime God calls a man, he also equips him. The truth is that you have been equipped for the work for the lost and you have been busy searching them out from all corners of the world irrespective of religion or ethic background.
“It is not a mean task having 36 schools running so efficiently and yet so freely. It is not a mean task having everyone that comes to your hospital being treated freely including surgeries, maternal care and every aspect of medicare. It is not a mean task that you gather children, impact knowledge to them, also feed and cloth them.
“This is a clear representation of what Jesus came to do and I make bold to say that indeed, you are an apostle of Christ.
“Today, we are here to celebrate you and you share the same passion with his Excellency, Dr Alex Otti. In Abia State, God is doing great things. Within 17 months, you can see great transformation.
“Today, the Governor is being invited across the world to come and share the Abia story.” the Governor’s representative said.
He further congratulated Apostle Chibuzor for his sustained prayers and support for his administration and wished him more fruitful and glorious years ahead.
In their goodwill messages, the former First Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan, member representing Ukwa East and Ukwa West Federal Constituency, Chief Chris Nkwonta, former President of the Senate, Chief Adolphus Wabara, Chairman Governing Council, KenPoly Bori, Rivers State, Prof. Roseline Konya among others disclosed that God blesses a man for him to be a blessing to others and lauded the celebrant for sticking to his divine calling as well as for touching life’s positively.
In his speech, the celebrant and founder of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere while recounting the journey so far, appreciated God Almighty for his mercies and grace which has seen him through the years, pointing out that the free schools, hospitals, empowerments and scholarships are made possible through OPM tithes and offerings.
Apostle Chibuzor further thanked his family, the former First Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan, Governor Alex Otti, his Rivers State counterpart, Mr Siminalayi Fubara, the church and all that came to worship and celebrate with him.
Our correspondent reports that the ceremony which featured prayers for the celebrant, the church, Governor Alex Otti, cutting of birthday cakes, award presentations, goodwill messages and choral renditions also attracted the presence of the Governor of Rivers State, Mr Siminalayi Fubara among notable personalities.
