The remains of Elder Emmanuel Iroanya Asonye, also known as Kinkana, have been laid to rest in his hometown, Umueleleukwu Owaza, in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State.
Preaching at the funeral service, the Rev. Chris Ogbuagu of the Apostolic Christian Church Mission, Rumumasi, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, who preached on the topic, “Come Let Us Balance the Account,” urged Christians to live lives that are consistent with their faith, stressing the need of living a life that speaks to one’s convictions.
Drawing example from the biblical story of Hezekiah, who sought to alter the prophecy concerning his life, the Rev. Ogbuagu emphasized the need for believers to align their lives with God’s will.
He encouraged all to reflect on their actions, make necessary changes and align their lives with divine commandments.
The clergyman also underscored that God expects everyone to live righteously, attributing many of the societal problems today to a lack of faithfulness.
