The Abia State government says it will make the Trailer and Luxury Park at the Ohiya axis of Aba Enugu Port Harcourt Expressway functional before the second week of December.
The General Manager, Umuahia Capital Development Authority, Mr. Kingsley Agomoh, who disclosed this when he visited the park alongside other members of the committee, said that the park will be put to good use.
Mr. Agomoh said that the present administration believes in engagement and dialogue and has commenced discussions with the company that the park was earlier leased.
The General Manager of UCDA explained that government is taking over the park and urged owners of trailers, luxury buses, and other operators of motor parks along the expressway to immediately relocate to the park.
Mr. Agomoh, who also inspected the park and addressed the motor park and owners of shanties along the expressway, directed them to immediately remove the shanties and move their trailers, luxury buses, and other vehicles to the park, in line with government directive.
He said that the decision is aimed at ensuring orderliness, as well as enhancing the aesthetics of the state.
