The Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, will on Tuesday November 26, 2024, reopen the newly renovated and retrofitted Nnamdi Azikiwe Secretariat Complex, Ogurube Layout, Umuahia.
A release endorsed by the State Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu says, the renovation of the long abandoned workers secretariat is part of the Abia State government’s transformational agenda of renovating and upgrading dilapidated public Service infrastructure while providing a conducive work environment for civil servants in the state.
It disclosed that the Nnamdi Azikiwe Secretariat is one of the many such public buildings that have so far been renovated and retrofitted through direct labour by the staff of the state Ministry of Lands and Housing.
According to the release, time for the event is noon while venue is the Nnamdi Azikiwe Secretariat, Ogurube, Layout Umuahia.
The release invites all, Commissioners, Head of Service, Permanent Secretaries, Directors and all civil servants to be part of the event.
It also enjoins invited guests to be seated before the arrival of the Governor and his entourage.
In the same vein, the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, will on Tuesday November 26th, 2024 commission the reconstructed Dozie Way Umuahia.
A press release signed by the State Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu says, the road is a dual – carriage way with solar lights.
According to the release, the reconstruction of the road is in line with the infrastructure development agenda of the state government which aims at opening up economically strategic roads in the State both in the cities and rural areas.
The release also notes that the road was reconstructed by Engineers from the State Ministry of Works, adding that the project speaks to the sustained commitment of Governor Alex Otti to promoting the economy of the State through road infrastructure while building capacity for our local engineers.
According to the release, venue for the Commissioning ceremony is Dozie way and time is noon.
It further invites all government appointees, stakeholders, religious and traditional rulers, women and youths to be part of the momentous event and requests that the invited guests be seated before the arrival of the Governor and his entourage.
