A clergyman of the Christ Church of Salvation, Apostle P.C. Ikpendu, has cautioned Christians against fueling disharmony in families.

Preaching at the funeral service of Madam Ihesinuloeme Monday Njinkonye, held at Umuoriehi Isingwu Ohuhu in Umuahia North LGA, Apostle Ikpendu frowned at the disunity in many Christian homes, which he attributed to envy and disrespect.

He blamed the absence of peace in society on the prevalence of evil acts, pointing out that lack of peace hinders progress and development, urging Christians to seek peace at all times.

Apostle Ikpendu, who preached on the topic “The Missing Gift of Jesus,” noted that the attributes of God are missing in the lives of many Christians.

He described the deceased, Madam Ihesinuloeme Monday Njinkonye, as a peace-loving woman and a devout Christian.

In an oration, a son of the deceased, Deacon Chimezie Monday Njinkonye, described his late mother as a disciplinarian and a true Christian who impacted many lives positively.

Madam Ihesinuloeme Monday Njinkonye, who died at the age of 91, is survived by her children and a host of other relatives, including her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ngozi Chimezie Monday Njinkonye.
