The Chairman of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Linus Nto Mbah, has commended Governor Alex Otti for approving the sum of one hundred and fifty thousand naira as a Christmas bonus for each Traditional Ruler in Abia State.
In a statement, Eze Mbah thanked the Governor for directing that the Christmas bonus be paid on or before the 10th of this month and described the gesture as unprecedented.
According to him, the Christmas bonus is a testament to Governor Otti’s recognition of the traditional institution in the State.
The Monarch assured the Governor that the Traditional Rulers in the State would continue to partner with him to achieve his vision for the State and ensure peace and tranquility in their domains.
He also pledged that the Traditional Rulers would maintain their efforts in ensuring the security of lives and property in their respective autonomous communities during the Yuletide season and beyond.
