The people of Umunna Nsulu in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area have commended Governor Alex Otti for his unequal magnanimity and decision to site the first Abia airport in Nsulu land.
High Chief Nnanna Nwoha, who gave the commendation at Government House Umuahia, when he led a delegation from Umunna Nsulu on a solidarity visit to the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, assured the Governor of their undivided support towards actualizing of the project.
Chief Nwoha, while explaining some of the significant economic and social benefits of having the airport in Nsulu, including the facilitation of tourism, trade, connectivity, economic growth, job creation among others, described the project as a welcome development.
He further lauded Governor Alex Otti for appointing their brother and Nsulu man, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, as his Chief of Staff and appealed to the state government to look into the deplorable state of the Okpulukwu Nbawsi road, which is gradually being ravaged by erosion, among other needs.
Responding, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, while reaffirming Governor Alex Otti’s commitment to launching Abia into a higher phase of prosperity, disclosed that Abians now have a story of good governance, transformation, and development to tell.
Pastor Ajagba thanked the leader of the delegation from Umunna Nsulu, Chief Nnanna Nwoha, and members of the cabinet for coming to identify with the state government, especially with respect to the siting of the proposed Abia airport in Nsulu land, and assured them that nothing would distract the Governor from pursuing his developmental goals to ensure that Nsulu and the state at large receive the best of infrastructural development.
