In furtherance of the infrastructural development Agenda of the Abia State government, His Excellency, Dr Alex Otti, will today, the 13th day of December, 2024 commission three roads in Aba, the commercial nerve centre of the state.
The roads to be commissioned includes; Cemetery Road Phase 2, Umuocham road and Umule road.
In line with the road construction strategy of the state, the newly constructed roads will enhance intra- city connectivity and thereby improve the status of Aba as the economic nerve center of the state.
Cemetery Road phase 2 was constructed through contract, while Umuocham and Umule roads were reconstructed through direct labour by Engineers from the Abia State Ministry of Works.
The commissioning ceremony for Cemetery Road will take place at 1:00pm while Umuocham and Umule roads would be commissioned together by 3:00pm.
Consequently, the Abia State Government hereby invites members of the Political class, Party members, the Aba Business Community, Religious and Traditional Rulers, Women and Youths groups to be part of these momentous events.
Invited guests are requested to be seated before the arrival of the Governor and his entourage at both venues.
