The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Abia State, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, has called on Abia youths to jettison acts capable of jeopardizing their future and tarnishing the image of the state.
Pastor Ajagba, who made the call at the School of Basic Nursing and Midwifery, Amachara, in Umuahia South LGA during the inauguration of the second executive of the Federation of Ngwa Students (FNS) SONAM chapter, reminded them that their future is in their hands.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, Dr. George Chidozie, commended the outgone executive led by Eze Christian Onyedinma for their impactful leadership despite their challenges, and urged the new executive to be responsible, responsive, and transparent in the course of their assignments.
He enjoined the new executive, led by Eze Emmanuel Chukwudi, to see their election as a call to serve, emphasizing the need to take their responsibilities seriously by replicating, sustaining, and surpassing the achievements of their predecessors as well as stressed the importance of unity of purpose, love, and cooperation to ensure the progress of the chapter.
In his speech, the Mayor of Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Ambassador Innocent Uruakpa, advised the new leadership of FNS SONAM chapter to be true representatives of the students, take their studies seriously, and remain good ambassadors of the Ngwa nation and the state at large.
In his valedictory speech, the outgone President of the Federation of Ngwa Students FNS SONAM chapter, Eze Christian Onyedinma, thanked members of the chapter for their support and urged all to support the new executive to enable them to discharge their duties effectively.
In his inaugural speech, the new President of the Federation of Ngwa Students SONAM chapter, Eze Emmanuel Chukwudi, thanked Governor Alex Otti for his visionary leadership and commitment towards the development of the state, and for always prioritizing the interest and welfare of Abia students.
Eze Chukwudi also appreciated the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, and the Mayor of Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Ambassador Innocent Uruakpa, for their fatherly advice and solicited the support of the members to ensure his executive succeeds in office.
Our correspondent, reports that the event, which attracted the presence of the leader of the Isiala Ngwa North Legislative Council, FNS chapter presidents and their Ugoeze’s within and outside the state, also featured goodwill messages, the coronation of Eze Emmanuel Chukwudi and his Ugoeze, Vida Agomoh, conferment of Chieftaincy titles, among others.
