The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, in collaboration with the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Barr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, will, on Tuesday, 17th December 2024, perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the Abia Airport in Nsulu, Isiala Ngwa North LGA of Abia State.
A release endorsed by the Abia State Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, while describing the Abia Airport to be sited in Nsulu, Isiala Ngwa North LGA, as a signature project that will permanently revitalize both the transport and economic landscape of the state, expressed optimism that the airport project, once completed, will transform the state’s transport system positively, enhance connectivity through air travel, and provide job opportunities for Abians and residents through investments in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
According to the release, the venue for the groundbreaking ceremony is Community School, Ubaha Nsulu, Isiala Ngwa North LGA, and the time is 10:00am prompt.
The release invites all peace-loving and progressive-minded people of the Nsulu community, women and youth groups, president generals of town unions from Isiala Ngwa North and South LGAs, religious and traditional rulers, the Abia business community, the chambers of commerce, heads of federal and state establishments, captains of industry, security agencies in the state, and all government appointees to the epoch-making event.
