The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu has described the 2024/2025 Business Enabling Reforms and Action Plan Draft as a testament to the dedication of the present administration in creating an enabling environment that encourages sustainable development and economic diversification.

Engr. Emetu who stated this during a 2-Day stakeholder’s meeting at JAAC building, state secretariat, Umuahia, noted that the State has recorded a significant milestone in improving the ease of doing business in the state.

The Deputy Governor who is also the chairman, State Council on Ease of doing business urged all stakeholders and participants to actively contribute practical insights to ensure a comprehensive, realistic and implementable document, that will help organize the future of the business environment.

In her address, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Ease of Doing Business, Barr. Agbonma Uka-Obasi, explained that the Business Enabling Reforms and Action Plan(BERAP), aims at enhancing collaboration between MDAs and the Private Sector for effective implementation of State Action on Business Enabling Reform Project (SABER).
