The Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti has approved the appointment of Mr Benson Ojeikere as the new state Head of Service.
In a release endorsed by the Secretary to Abia State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, notes that the appointment followed the conclusion of a rigorous merit-based selection process.
According to the release, the appointment is effective from December 31, 2024.
The release while congratulating Mr. Benson Ojeikere on his appointment, equally appreciates the immense contributions of the outgoing Head of Service, Dr. Ngozi Queen Obioma who is proceeding on statutory retirement.
It will be recalled that the new Head of Service, Mr Benson Ojeikere until his appointment is the current Permanent Secretary, Government House Umuahia.
