The signing of Indemnity Forms for the land owners of the Acquired Land for the Abia Innovation Industrial Park in Owaza, Ukwa West Local Government Area has commenced at the Abia State Ministry of Lands and Housing, Umuahia.

Speaking while interacting with news men in Umuahia, the Abia State Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Mr. Chaka Chukwumerije said the Indemnity Forms will help the Government to disburse funds to the rightful owners of the land acquired for the project.
Mr. Chukwumerije pointed out that there is a process for validating and sorting out of omitted names adding that Government will always keep to their promises when they require land for over-riding purposes.
The Commissioner while describing the State Government as one that believes in rule of law and due process, assured that those who are involved will be fully compensated and commended them for their support and cooperation.
He pointed out that filling of the forms continuous process, stressing that the Government has concluded enumeration, proper account of the Economic trees in the acquired portion, devaluation as well as identification of various claimants.
In their remarks, some of the Land Owners of acquired land for the Abia Innovation Industrial Park, Owaza, including Pastor Adiele Ezekiel and Chief Chukwuemeka Okeke thanked the State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti for his attention and concern and promised to always support the present administration.
