UMUAHIA – The Director in-Charge of Secondary Education Management Board, SEMB, Mrs Ngozi Onwubiko has expressed satisfaction with the turn out of Teachers and Students on the first day of School resumption.

Mrs Onwubiko who made her feelings known when she led the Management Team of the Board on School resumption monitoring in Umuahia metropolis, described the large turn out of Teachers and Students as impressive and appreciated the Teachers for their commitment in ensuring effective teaching and learning at some Schools visited.

She further extolled the Governor for setting up a Compulsory Education Crusaders to ensure out of School Children, return back to School in line with the free education policy of the Governor Alex Otti led administration in Abia.

Speaking, the Principal, Ossah Community Model Secondary School Umuahia, Mrs Doris Oparaocha, the Principal, Government Technical College Afaraukwu Umuahia, Mrs Amarachi Ogbonna and Principal, Ndume Otuka Community Secondary School Ahiaeke, Lady Nnenne Ikodiya Ibe, said in an effort to compliment the love and commitment of the Governor, Dr Alex Otti in the Education Sector, they distributed education materials to Teachers and Students who reported to classes on the first day of School resumption and called on parents to release their Wards and Children as they are poised to teach.
