The Abia State government says the best empowerment it will give Abia children is to arm them with quality education.

The State Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu who disclosed this while featuring in a Radio Programme ‘Executive Brief’, said a special taskforce team has commenced operation to ensure no child is seen hawking during School hours.
Prince Kanu revealed that any child caught hawking during School hours will lead the taskforce to the person that sent him who will then be arrested and prosecuted adding that the move is to ensure that Abia children fully enjoy the free education put in place by the State government.
He noted that government embarked on the renovation and retrofitting of Schools across the State to create conducive teaching and learning environment, pointing out that creative Model Schools are also being established to bring out the talents of children.
The Information Boss further stated that teachers are being taken care of to encourage them and assured that it can only get better for the education sectors in 2025.
