The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma, who stated this while on an inspection tour of facilities at the BCA in the company of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communication, Mr. Dodoh Okafor, said the visit is in line with the vision of the Governor, Dr. Alex Otti to ensure that no government institution goes comatose.
He described BCA as an important Government establishment and regretted that previous administrations neglected the corporation in terms of provision of modern equipment despite the Corporation serving successive Governments and Abians committedly.
The Special Adviser to the Governor On Media and Publicity pointed out that the administration of Dr. Otti is willing and desires to provide the corporation with equipment and a conducive environment to carry out their duties.
Conducting the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr Ferdinand Ekeoma and his Public Communication counterpart, Mr Dodoh Okafor, around the TV and Radio Transmitters of the corporation, the Acting Director General, BCA, Mr Francis Nwaubani, pointed out that BCA needs a new digital TV transmitter, explaining that the old one which the Corporation has been managing has gone bad.
Mr Nwaubani said that providing BCA with a new transmitter for the TV and replacing the Radio transmitter, which is a mini spare transmitter, has become necessary for the corporation to function optimally and compete favourably with their counterparts around the zone.
He expressed optimism that the Governor will fulfill his promise of transforming the corporation with the provision of new equipment while assuring of competent hands at the BCA and their readiness to work in line with the Governor’s vision of a new Abia.
