The Committee Chairman, Abia State Teachers Recruitment Exercise, Dr Uzoamaka Amah-Mba says the State Government has lifted embargo on employment for the recruitment of Teachers in Primary, Junior and Senior Secondary Schools.
Dr Amah-Mba who disclosed this while briefing news men in Umuahia, said that the portal for the Application will be made available tomorrow, Wednesday (29/01/2025) for interested applicants who may wish to apply.
The Committee Chairman who is also the Board Secretary of ASUBEB said that eligible applicants would not be more than 45 years of age and must have NCE, B.Sc, Bachelor in Education with Post Graduate Diploma in education as qualifications.
She disclosed that physical submission of applications would not be allowed adding that every Application will be completed and submitted online.
Dr Amah-Mba said that the Governor, Dr Alex Otti has set the modality for the recruitment exercise free for both indigenes and Non indigenes residing in the State adding that any person caught extorting money from the applicants would be made to face the full wrath of the law.
She further enjoined traditional rulers and opinion Leaders to assist in sensitizing their people on the need to take the teachers recruitment exercise declared by the State Government seriously and further advised all eligible applicants to study hard, ahead of the recruitment examination.
The Director of Administration, ASUBEB, Pastor Sam Kanu was present during the Press briefing.
