The Matriculants of Gregory University, Uturu have been enjoined to remain focused and strife for excellence in all they do as Students.
The Wife of Abia state Governor, Mrs. Priscilla Otti who gave the advice at the School Auditorium, during the Thirteenth Matriculation ceremony of Gregory University Uturu, said the Institution is committed to providing the students with World class Education.
Mrs. Priscilla Otti represented by the Wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Adaeze Emetu said that the administration of Governor Alex Otti is committed to supporting the Educational Institution by investing in the Education Sector to improve on infrastructure as well as provide opportunities that would help the Students excel.
She encouraged the Students to take advantage of all the facilities available to them and be good ambassadors of the State by upholding the values of integrity, hardwork and respect for one another.
In his address, the Chancellor of the University, Professor Gregory Ibe represented by the Pro Chancellor, Professor Augustine Uwakwe welcomed the matriculants into the academic community, and challenged the Students to always engage in meaningful discourse that will impact Society.
Also speaking, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Cele Njoku encouraged the students to utilize the opportunity provided for them and take their studies seriously in order to make their parents proud.
Our correspondent reports that the event which featured taking of matriculation Oath by the students and inspection of displayed skills by the students, attracted the presence of the Top Government Functionaries.
