The Governor, Dr Alex Otti has congratulated the Rt. Rev. Chiemeka Chuwkudi on his 60th birthday and enthronement as the 6th Bishop of the Methodist Diocese of Isuikwuato.
Speaking at the event held at Methodist Wesley Cathedral Eluama in Isuikwuato LGA, Governor Otti described the celebrant as a man that trusts God wholeheartedly.
The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba while commending the celebrant for his many decades of service to the church, noted that his enthronement is an affirmation of his lifetime devotion to God and continuous good works in His vineyard.
The State Chief Executive disclosed that his administration remains committed to transforming the state positively as evident in the numerous completed and ongoing projects across all nooks and crannies of Abia, and prayed for more of God’s wisdom and strength upon the celebrant as he takes on his new office.
In their speeches, the Chairman of the occasion, Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika Rtd, the Member representing Isuikwuato State Constituency, Chief Lucky Johnson and the Mayor of Isuikwuato LGA, Mr Chinedu Ekeke described Bishop Chukwudi’s enthronement as well deserved, and prayed God to give him the wisdom to pilot the affairs of the Diocese effectively.
In a homily, the newly enthroned Methodist Bishop of Isuikwuato Diocese, The Rt. Rev. Chiemeka Chuwkudi encouraged Christians to always trust God for solutions to their challenges, pointing out that what God demands of them is total obedience and faith in him.
Bishop Chuwkudi assured that great things will begin to happen in Isuikwuato Diocese and appreciated Governor Alex Otti, the clergy and all that came to celebrate with him on his 60th birthday and enthronement as Bishop.
Our correspondent reports that the ceremony which featured prayers for the Governor and the Diocese of Isuikwuato, goodwill messages, cutting of 60th birthday cake, also attracted the presence of the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Ikechukwu Uwanna, the clergy, traditional rulers among other notable personalities.
