Wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs Priscilla Otti has called on Abia Stakeholders, Non Governmental Organizations and Private Individuals to support the administration of Dr. Alex Otti to empower individuals and Communities, through skills acquisition and economic empowerment.

Mrs Otti who made the call at the Banquet hall, Government House Umuahia during the Real Warri Pikin Women Petty Traders Empowerment Programme, disclosed that their support will make a significant difference in the lives of women and the Girl Child.

She extolled the present administration for its commitment towards empowering women Petty Traders through various initiatives and interventions, as well as launching the Abia State Cooperative Support Scheme and disbursement of credit facilities to ten thousand Nano and Micro business across the State.

The Governor’s Wife further commended Mrs Anita Asuoha popularly known as Real Warri Pikin Foundation, for her selfless contributions to humanity and Community efforts through her Foundation and philanthropic gesture aimed at empowering and supporting vulnerable individuals in Society.

Speaking, the Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Dr Matthew Ekwuribe represented by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Culture and Creative Economy, Mrs Matilda Anyamele, commended Mrs Otti for her supportive efforts and appreciated Mrs Anita Asuoha, for being a blessing to the people especially women, as well as for considering Abia women in her empowerment programs.

The Founder, Real Warri Pikin, Mrs Anita Asuoha who said that her mission is to support women, award scholarship to students, empower youths, among others, appreciated the Wife of the Governor, for giving her the opportunity, and for her commitment in empowering Abia youths and women with skill acquisitions.

In her vote of thanks, one of the beneficiaries, Mrs Ijeoma Ogbonnaya appreciated Governor Otti , the Wife, and Real Warri Pikin Foundation for always having the welfare of women at heart and prayed God to strengthen them.

The event attracted the presence of the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Adaeze Emetu, and other Government Functionaries.
