The Abia State Government has announced the death of Comrade Sunny Nwanganga Onwuma, a Member of the Abia State Executive Council and Pioneer Commissioner for Labour and Productivity.
A release endorsed by the Abia State Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu disclosed that Comrade Sunny Onwuma passed on in the early hours of Monday, 3rd March 2025 after a brief illness.
According to the release, Comrade Onwuma who hails from Ihie in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area of Abia State, attended Government College Umuahia, Abia state University, Uturu and was a leader of note in his community.
It also notes that Comrade Onwuma who is survived by wife and four children was aged 61 years.
The release prays God Almighty to grant his soul eternal rest, and his family the fortitude to bear his loss.
Burial arrangements will be announced by the family
