The Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba has called on land owners of the proposed Abia Airport Nsulu in Isiala Ngwa North LGA to avail themselves of the ongoing enumeration exercise to ensure that all their landed property and economic trees are enumerated.

Pastor Ajagba who made the call during an enlarged meeting between government representatives and the various committees of Nsulu land owners, said the exercise is necessary to enable government identify the real land owners for payment of adequate compensation.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor disclosed that Governor Alex Otti being a listening Governor and one that heeds to the yearnings of his people has graciously approved a further reduction of the airport land size from 1,325 hectares to 1,025 hectares in line with the request made by the host communities.

He described the airport project as one that has multiplier effects capable of turning around the fortunes of the people for good and enjoined those in the various airport committees to work with government to reconfirm the land reduction, engage actively and sensitize the host communities on government programs and activities.

In their speeches, the Chairman of the Abia airport Technical Committee, Dr Chibuzor Emeruwa, Chairman of MoU Drafting Committee, Rt. Hon. Uzo Azubuike, Chairman of Community Relations Committee, Rev. Israel Ukaoma and their Media/Publicity Affairs Committee counterpart, Prince Clinton Uba appreciated Governor Otti for his magnanimity in approving the reduction of the airport land size and promised to work with government in actualizing the project in record time.
