Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex has commended the State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa for the successful operation that led to the rescue of four kidnapped victims in Osokwa, Osisioma Local Government Area.
Reacting to the development at Government House, Umuahia, during a National Press Conference, the Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, said he has already directed that the House where the kidnapped victims were kept in Osokwa- Osisioma be brought down completely and the Landlord prosecuted.
Governor Otti who also praised God that none of the kidnapped victims sustained injury, vowed to keep Abia Safe from criminal elements including upgrading of the technology used by the Police for effective service.
Presenting the rescued victims and the Tactical Team, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Danladi Isa said that the four men were kidnapped on the 9th of this month at New Umuahia Road, Obingwa Local Government Area.
He narrated how the Police was able to rescue them and neutralized majority of the kidnappers and described the achievements made so far by the Police as the dividend of Governor Otti’s continuous support to Security Agencies in the State.
In an interview, one of the kidnapped Victims who narrated their ordeals in the hands of the kidnappers, said they have been at the kidnapper’s den from 9th till 14th of this month and thanked the men of the Nigeria Police Force for coming to their rescue.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, Commissioners, top government officials were present during the briefing.
