Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti will flag-off the construction of two critical road projects in Umuahia, the capital city of the state on Tuesday, 25th March, 2025.

A release endorsed by the State Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu says the projects are in line with the infrastructural development agenda of the present administration in Abia.

According to the release, the road projects to be flagged-off include the Orpet-Umuafai-Ahieke-Lodu road (4.32km) and the Ahieke-Okwuta-Bende road (3.79km).

It also notes that the roads, which for long have been in a deplorable state, will be constructed to modern standards, to ensure smoother transportation, enhanced economic activities, and improved connectivity for residents and businesses in the state capital.

The release further adds that the Governor Alex Otti led administration remains unwavering in its commitment to deliver quality infrastructure that will drive sustainable development and improve the lives of all Abians.

According to the release, venue for the flag-off exercise is Craneburg Site Office, along Lodu-Ahiaeke Road while time is 11:00 O’clock in the morning.

The release invites government officials, stakeholders, and members of the public to the landmark event.

It therefore enjoins all to be seated before the arrival of the Governor and his entourage.
