Abia State Government has commenced a five day oral credentials interview for successful teachers in the just concluded computer based test examination.

Speaking while addressing the candidates, the state Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Elder Goodluck Ubochi charged the candidates to provide before the panel credible information about their credentials among other requirements needed adding that the present administration in Abia advocates and believes in due Process.
Elder Ubochi commended the Governor Dr Alex Otti for insisting that due process must be followed in the teachers recruitment exercise as against what was obtainable in the past.
The Commissioner announced that successful Candidates will be deployed to commence effective teaching by third term 2024/2025 academic session and applauded the efforts of the Recruitment Committee Members.
Speaking, the Executive Board Chairman ASUBEB Mrs Lydia Onuoha, Special Adviser to the Governor on Basic and Secondary Education Sir Kenechukwu Nwosu and Chairman Abia Teachers Recruitment Committee Dr Uzoamaka Amamba described the process of the recruitment exercise as first of its kind and pledged their support to realize the vision of the Governor in the recruitment exercise.
Responding on behalf of others Mrs Nnenna Onoh affirmed that the recruitment process has been transparent and appreciated the committee members for ensuring that due process was followed.
