The Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba has charged the new executive of Abia Arise in Isiala Ngwa North LGA to ensure they infuse fresh energy into the organization, with a focus on engaging communities and promoting good governance.

Pastor Ajagba who stated this at the Women Development Centre, Umuomainta Nbawsi in Isiala Ngwa North LGA shortly after the Inauguration of the LGA executive of Abia Arise Structure, stressed the need for them to maintain a strong grassroots base and work diligently in their wards to support Governor Alex Otti administration’s achievements across the state.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor while acknowledging the significant progress the present administration in the state has made in all facets of the state economy over the past 23 months, harped on the need for unity, grassroots mobilization, and strategic planning as the structure prepares to take on its full responsibilities.

He further reminded the new Abia Arise LGA leadership of the crucial role the structure played in last general elections and enjoned them to ensure the structure remains visible and effective in all the wards and units in the council.

In his inaugural speech, the State Coordinator of Abia Arise, Mazi Nkem Okoro, congratulated the new LGA executive for being found worthy to serve as leaders of Abia Arise which is the grassroots support structure of Governor Otti and charged them to be committed in delivering on their mandate.

In their speeches, the Member representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency, Chief Collins Iheonunekwu, the Mayor of Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Ambassador Innocent Uruakpa and the Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Mr Matthew Ekwuruibe, called on the new executive to go into the communities and galvanize massive support for the Governor Alex Otti led administration and assured them of all necessary support that would assist Abia Arise to succeed in the LGA.

In their goodwill messages, a member of Abia State Diaspora Commission, Engr. Bob Ibeneme and Mrs Nkechi Chibueze who officially joined Abia Arise Structure with her team of supporters, described Governor Alex Otti as a great rebuilder who has within the last two years transformed and placed Abia on the map of social economic development.

Responding on behalf of his colleagues, the newly inaugurated Coordinator of Abia Arise, Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Mr Anthony Madugba commended Governor Alex Otti for his Visionary style of leadership in the state and promised that they will deliver on their mandate.

Members of the LGA executive includes Onuoha Friday – Deputy LGA Coordinator, Blessing Nnaji – Secretary, Victoria Eleri – Women Leader, Chidi Ugoala – Youth Leader, Goodluck Nwaukwa – Financial Secretary and Emeka Obiocha – Treasurer.

Our correspondent reports that the Inauguration which featured the administration of oath of office on the new executive by the Deputy Coordinator of Abia Arise, Mrs Sophia Ikpeama attracted the presence of the state executive of Abia Arise, top government officials among other distinguished personalities.
