Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti says the State will continue to witness positive transformation under his watch.

Dr Otti who made this known at the All Saint Methodist Church Umuabail, Ezeleke Circuit, Methodist Church of Nigeria, Diocese of Umuahia West during the 15th Diocesan Synod, of the Church, with the theme: “He Will Rise Again,” emphasized the relevance of the theme and drawing parallels between the resurrection of the biblical Lazarus and the potential for renewal in the State and Nation.
The Governor represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Kenneth Kalu expressed optimism that with faith and determination, dead situations can be revived, using Abia as a practical example, pointing out that under the present administration, every Sector of the State’s Economy has witnessed positive changes.
The Governor, commended the Methodist Church for their laudable roles in promoting spiritual growth and development in the State and encouraged them to remain steadfast in their prayers for the State.
In his address, the Bishop of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Diocese of Umuahia West, The Rt. Rev. Dennis Okey described the theme of the Synod as apt especially with the present State of uncertainty in the Country and expressed the hope that with sustained prayers and massive positive transformation across the State, by the Governor, Dr Alex Otti, the state and Nigeria will be better.
In his Keynote Lecture, the Vice Chancellor, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Professor Iwe, urged citizens to keep hope alive and work together in building a brighter Society, emphasizing the importance of unity, perseverance and faith in overcoming life’s challenges.
