Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti has felicitated a former member of the State House of Assembly that represented Umuahia East State Constituency, Chief Chukwudi Apugo on the occasion of his fiftieth birthday ceremony.

In his congratulatory message at the Blessed Chapel International Church Umuahia, Governor Otti described Chief Apugo as an inspirational figure that has earned a place in history.

The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, disclosed that the celebrant having walked through the diverse corridors of life, has emerged not only successful but deeply impactful, transforming challenges into stepping stones and becoming a beacon of hope and leadership in every sphere he touches.

The State Chief Executive while stressing the need for all to always acknowledge the grace, goodness and mercies of God, urged Chief Apugo to continue to hold God firmly, reiterating that no one can achieve greatness without the help of God.

He noted that he is on a divine mission to change the negative narrative, transform positively and place Abia on the pedestal of sustainable development and wished the celebrant more fruitful years ahead.

Preaching on the topic, “Celebrating the Grace and Goodness of God, the Resident Pastor, Blessed Chapel International Church Umuahia, Pastor Maduka Nwankwo, identified thanksgiving as key to unlocking multiple blessings and enjoined all to continue to depend solely on the transformational power of God for answers to their prayers.

In their goodwill messages, the former Governor of the state, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, Senator Darlington Nwokocha, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, Chief Henry Ikoh among others while lauding the celebrant, Chief Chukwudi Apugo for imparting the society positively through the establishment of Danijoy International Schools, award of scholarships, disbursement of bursary and youth empowerments, described him a dependable ally and one that has distinguished himself both in business and politics.

In his testimony, the celebrant and former member that represented Umuahia East State Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Chief Chukwudi Apugo, explained that his remarkable achievements in education, business, politics and philanthropy are rooted in his steadfast commitment to integrity, humility, courage, hardwork, perseverance and a deep faith in God.

Chief Apugo appreciated God for his goodness and mercies upon his life and family and thanked Governor Otti, the church, Management, Staff and students of Danijoy International Schools and all that came to celebrate with him.

Our correspondent reports that the fiftieth birthday ceremony which featured prayers for the celebrant and family, presentations by Danijoy Schools, cutting of cake also attracted the presence of the Clerk of the State House of Assembly, Sir Johnpedro Irokansi, Chief Enyinnaya Nwafor, members of the state House of Assembly among other distinguished personalities.
