The Member Representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Collins Ugochukwu Iheonunekwu, has felicitated all the Children in his Constituency and Abians in general on this years Children’s Day Celebration.

A release endorsed by Hon. Iheonunekwu highlighted the importance of children to the society, maintaining that they are intrinsically attached to the future of our dear Nation, while calling on parents, teachers, handlers and government at all levels to make their well-being, education, safety and their security a top priority, adding that upon their shoulders lies the true picture of the future of the country.

The release reassured the children of his determination to lend his support in the enactment and implementation of laws that will have direct positive impact on them, and commended the Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti for embarking on programmes and policies geared towards uplifting the living standard of Abia children especially in respect to his free and compulsory Education.

It further explained that his recent advocacy campaign to schools against Cybercrime, among other programmes his office have so far carried out, is borne out of his desire to see that Abia Children tow the part of right and rectitude and enjoined parents, guidance, teachers and all adults to use this auspicious occasion to cherish and honor the children.
