The Traditional Ruler of Umukabia Okaiuga Alike Autonomous Community HRM Eze Sir (Dr) Uzo Nwosu, MFR, has on behalf of the entire Umukabia people felicitated the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Chioma Otti on his eventful, purposeful and achievement-filled 2 years anniversary cutting across road infrastructure, health, education, Industrialization among others.
Eze Uzo Nwosu who was speaking to journalists in his Palace on the 29th of May after the Grand finale of activities marking the 2nd year anniversary of Governor Alex Otti described the Governor’s landmark achievements in virtually all sectors as unparalleled.
He noted that Governor Alex Otti has through quality leadership redefined Governance thereby placing Abia on the global map of fast developing states.
“His Excellency, Dr Alex Otti has truly proven to be on a mission to change the narratives, all his steps are intentional and well coordinated, the flag off of the proposed Abia Airport in Isiala Ngwa is another bold step to announce Abia to the world.”
The Royal Father while also applauding the Governor’s efforts in raising life expectancy in Abia through various health initiatives, described the ongoing retrofitting of Primary Health Centers across the 184 political wards of the state as legendary and commendable .
“In addition to the Primary Health Centers experiencing complete facelift,almost all the 13 General Hospitals in Abia are undergoing retrofitting and total upgrade, what a milestone achievement “
“I am hopeful that Umukabia Health Center will be part of the next batch of health centers to receive same infrastructural turn around” Eze Nwosu expressed.
On road construction and reconstruction,Eze Uzo Nwosu particularly commended Governor Otti on the expansion of the Mission Hill – Ossah Express Tower road, the ongoing expansion of Abia express Tower -Amachara -Umuopara -Onuimo road, the recently reconstructed and commissioned Umuahia-Uzuakoli -Akara -Alayi -Abiriba road which traverses through Umuire -Amauhe among other Ohuhu communities and expressed the hope that the Ohuhu ring road and old Okpara road would be given same attention within the remaining 2 years of your first tenure.
The Royal Father while also noting Otti’s remarkable landmark transformation in the education sector, said the Governor has through robust policies and transformational steps restored the confidence in public schools there by increasing enrollment by over 60% , describing the ongoing building of 20 Smart Schools and the employment of 5300 teachers in the public schools as commendable.
The Ojim 1 of Ojim Ukwu Nnuegbe Ancient Kingdom used the occasion to also appreciate the Governor for for making the welfare of Traditional Rulers in the state one of his top priorities and urged Abians to continue to uphold the government of Governor Alex Otti in prayers him achieve all he has envisioned for the state.
