Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti has identified Praise as a strong platform to bring God down in any situation.
Governor Otti who disclosed this at the Enyimba Sports Stadium Aba during the Aba Mid-Year Praise Event tagged, “Aba Praise The Lord,” Organized by the Aba Christian Community, reiterated that Praise moves God to intervene in the affairs of Men.
The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba disclosed that the reason why he proceeded to the church immediately he was declared as the Governor elect in the 2023 General Elections was to give God praise and dedicate his victory to him, pointing out that God watches over whatever that is dedicated to him in order to preserve it.
He explained that it is not a coincidence that Abia is God’s own State, adding that the positive transformations being witnessed in the State today is a reflection of the vision God gave to him which also accounts for the reason why he surrounded himself with people that understands times and seasons to know what is best for Abians.
The State Chief Executive who expressed delight that Aba, the Commercial Nerve Center of the State has returned as an Industrial hub and a reference point as one of the cleanest cities in the Nation, also thanked Aba people for their sustained show of love and support towards his administration.
Also speaking, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Chief Emmanuel Emeruwa while commending Governor Alex Otti for his transformative strides in Aba and the State, disclosed that the 8th House of Assembly is working harmoniously with the Executive having recognized the purpose of the Leadership in the State and called on Aba people to sustain their support to the Governor Otti led administration in the State.
Ministering, the Rev. Dr Uma Ukpai who was visibly elated over the wonderful transformations being witnessed in Abia especially in Aba under the leadership of Governor Alex Otti, prayed for more of God’s blessings, wisdom and strength to enable him continue to pilot the affairs of the state effectively.
In his goodwill message, the Mayor of Aba South LGA, Mr Obilor Anyanwu, described Governor Otti’s Infrastructural strides in Aba as an act of God and thanked the Governor for repositioning the State positively.
In their speeches, the Coordinator of Aba Christian Community and Chairman of the Aba Mid-Year Praise Event Planning Committee, Dr Ben Ogbonna and his Aba City Prayer Project Counterpart, Pastor John Azubuine, said the event is a collective reaction of the Aba Christian Community to God’s intervention in the Enyimba City and the State at large.
They disclosed that they came together to publicly acknowledge God’s Power and Sovereignty over Aba and to render thanks to him for his visitation and mighty works in the Commercial City especially in the areas of Infrastructural Development, peace and adequate Security.
Our Correspondent reports that the event which featured prayers for the Governor and the State, Special Gospel performances, also attracted the presence of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Religious Affairs, Apostle K.C Wiper, Mayor of Aba North LGA, Mr Timothy Kalu-Iheke, the State CAN Chairman, Rev. Ojo Ojo Uduma, the Clergy among other distinguished personalities.
