Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti says his administration will continue to collaborate with the government of Enugu State and Governors of other South East States to ensure sustainable peace, security and greater development of the region.
Governor Otti who was addressing newsmen after a closed-door meeting with the Governor of Enugu State, Mr Peter Mba in his Nvosi country home, applauded the cordial working relationship existing between the two states.

The Governor said that his administration and many other states are in support of the creation of state Police and expressed the hope that the federal government will consider their position in no distant time.
Governor Otti who also spoke on the creation of additional states, said that it is just for the south East region to have additional state as the region is the only region with the least states out of the other 5 geo-political zones.
In his remarks, the Governor of Enugu State, Mr Peter Mba said that he came to rub minds with Governor Alex Otti on issues of common interest for the two states which is centered on providing a better life for the people as both of them came from the private sector.
He noted that coming from same geo-political zone and sharing common boundaries, their programs and policies must have far reaching impacts on the two states, and commended Governor Alex Otti for the great work he is doing for the state.
The Speaker of Abia House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, the SSG, Professor Kenneth Kalu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba and other government officials joined Governor Alex Otti in receiving Governor Peter Mba.
