Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti has condoled with the former Archbishop of the Anglican Diocese of Aba, Most Rev Ugochukwu Uwaoma-Ezuoke over the death of his wife, Mrs Stella Chinonyerem Ezuoke.
In his condolence message during a funeral service conducted by the St. Michael’s Cathedral Aba, Governor Otti noted that Mrs Ezuoke’s death is a huge loss to the family and all that came in contact with her cheerful and gracious personality.

The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba described the deceased as a devoted church leader, supportive wife to her husband all through his service in the house of God and an affectionate mother who raised her children with kindness and godly virtues, adding that the memories of her devotion to God, service to humanity and generosity will continue to inspire generations to come.
The State Chief Executive urged the bereaved family especially the Chief Mourner, Archbishop Ugochukwu Uwaoma-Ezuoke Rtd and the Anglican Diocese of Aba to be comforted by the fact that she lived a life of grace and honour, remained a beacon of strength and comfort to everyone around her while praying God to grant them the grace to bear the loss.
In a homily, the Primate of Anglican Church of Nigeria, Most Rev Henry Ndukuba reminded Christians that those that died in Christ are only asleep awaiting resurrection and enjoined all to live righteously with the consciousness of eternity.
In a tribute, the first son of the deceased, Rev. Cannon Nnamdi Ezuoke, described his late mother as an amazon, role model and a virtuous woman who devoted her life to the service of God and humanity and prayed God to grant her soul a peaceful repose.
Aged 72, Late Mrs Stella Chinonyerem Ezuoke is survived by husband, children, grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
The funeral service which featured prayers for the Ezuoke family, condolence messages also attracted the presence of the Chief Judge of Abia State, Justice Lilian Abai, the Ag. Labour Party Chairman, Sir Emmanuel Nweze Oti, Hon. Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Sir Uzor Nwachukwu, Mayor of Aba South LGA, Hon. Obialor Anyanwu, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget and Planning, Dr Eric Egwuibe, his Investment Promotions and Public Private Partnership counterpart, High Chief Green Amakwe, Special Assistant to the Governor on Religious Affairs, Apostle Kenneth Wiper, the clergy among other notable personalities.
