A prominent organization of Igbo nationals in the diaspora, known as the Igbo People in Diaspora (IPID), is extending a clarion call to young people across the South East and South South (SESS) geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

The group, which has existed for over 12 years, is dedicated to empowering Igbo youths through creativity, industry, and entrepreneurship. This laudable group IPID, which operates as a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-political body, has continued to play a vital role in youth development across Igboland.
As part of its mission, IPID is currently organizing a major summit known as the Igbo Youth Awareness Month (IYAM), scheduled to hold in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State from August 14th to August 17th, 2025.
The three-day event aims to identify and sponsor promising youths with viable business ideas, helping them unlock new opportunities for self-reliance and community development. The summit will also serve as a platform for training, mentorship, and funding support.
In preparation for the summit, the group is calling on interested youths, especially from Abia State, to fill out a participation form via the following link:

Eligible participants with sound business plans stand a chance to be sponsored to attend the summit and benefit from its wide array of empowerment programs.
Beyond participation, IPID is also appealing to well-meaning and philanthropic individuals, both at home and abroad to support this noble initiative.
According to the group, many young people in the region face challenges including poverty, drug addiction, and lack of access to quality education. With the right support and mentorship, IPID believes these youths can become productive leaders and change-makers in their communities.
For sponsorship, inquiries, or collaboration, interested individuals are encouraged to contact Ekeledo Peter, the IPID Coordinator for Umuahia South, via 07034958805.
