In a renewed effort to combat poverty, idleness, and youth unemployment across the South East and South South regions of Nigeria, the Igbo People in Diaspora (IPID) have reaffirmed their commitment to youth empowerment through the forthcoming Igbo Youth Awareness Month (IYAM) summit.

IPID Launch Bold Initiative to Empower Youths in South East Nigeria

The IYAM summit which is scheduled to take place in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, aims to bring together young, aspiring entrepreneurs and change-makers from across the region for a three-day life-changing engagement.

IPID, a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-political group representing Igbo communities in the diaspora, has been in existence for over 12 years.

The organization is widely known for its sustained and impactful programs geared toward supporting the socio-economic development of Igbo land. Over the years, IPID has remained a reliable voice for progress, unity, and strategic youth intervention across the six states of the South East and parts of the South South region.

The upcoming IYAM summit stands as a testament to IPID’s enduring vision: to empower young people to become creative, industrious, and self-reliant in their chosen paths.

The program will feature sessions on entrepreneurship, mentorship, capacity building, and business plan sponsorships for selected participants. IPID will also sponsor young individuals with viable business ideas who attend the summit, creating opportunities for real growth and sustainable livelihoods.

Youths from Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, and other neighboring states are encouraged to seize this opportunity by registering through the official link provided by the organizers. The registration form can be accessed at:

As part of the program’s goal to reach the most vulnerable youth, the organizers are calling on all well-meaning and philanthropic individuals of South East and South South geopolitical origin, both within Nigeria and abroad to support this noble cause.

By sponsoring participants or partnering with IPID, donors will be directly contributing to reducing youth poverty, substance abuse, and school dropout rates caused by economic hardship.

The Igbo People in Diaspora deserve commendation for this visionary effort and their unwavering dedication to the growth and development of Igbo youths.

As preparations intensify, all stakeholders are urged to spread the word, support the mission, and help uplift a generation of leaders and innovators through this strategic and timely program.
