The State Commander of Abia State Community Policing and Vigilante, Apostle Daniel Iheadindueme, has lauded Governor Alex Otti for his unwavering commitment to nipping crime in the bud and ensuring that Abia remains one of the safest states in Nigeria.
Apostle Iheadindueme who made the commendation in Umuahia, expressed profound appreciation to Governor Otti for his sustained support to the vigilante outfit, particularly in providing them with a state headquarters and operational base to enhance their effectiveness.
The ACPV State Commander while describing the gesture as a demonstration of the Governor’s genuine resolve to empower grassroots security structures for optimal performance, noted that the Governor’s proactive security measures have continued to foster a conducive environment for citizens, as well as attract local and foreign investors into the state.
He pledged the outfit’s total commitment to implementing the Governor’s vision of a crime-free Abia, assuring that the Community Policing and Vigilante will continue to work in synergy with other security agencies across the state. According to him, such collaboration is critical to ensuring adequate protection of lives and property in both urban and rural communities.
Apostle Iheadindueme further stressed that the vigilante personnel remain focused and determined to carry out their mandate, with particular emphasis on safeguarding rural areas, where criminal activities often go under-reported. He assured that his men will continue to maintain strong surveillance and rapid response systems to deter crime before it escalates.
While addressing his officers and men, the commander urged them not to be weary in the discharge of their duties, but to remain steadfast, vigilant, and dedicated to the noble task of securing the state. He emphasised that discipline, professionalism, and integrity remain the core values of the outfit.
Apostle Iheadindueme further issued a stern warning that any attempt by individuals or groups to sabotage their security efforts will be firmly resisted. He reiterated that under Governor Otti’s leadership, the Abia State Community Policing and Vigilante will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the state remains a safe haven for all.
