The Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, has restated Governor Alex Otti’s commitment to enhancing, supporting and strengthening the traditional institution in the State.

Pastor Ajagba who gave the charge when he received the Executive of Aba North LGA Traditional Rulers Council at Government House Umuahia, disclosed that the administration of Governor Otti recognizes the invaluable role traditional rulers play in maintaining peace, preserving culture, and fostering unity at the grassroots.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor while describing the traditional institution as a vital partner in governance, noted that the state government remains resolute in ensuring that it continues to receive the recognition, dignity and support it deserves in the new Abia they are collectively building.

Pastor Ajagba further disclosed that Governor Otti has continued to demonstrate his passion towards rebuilding the state through visible strides, especially in Aba, where massive infrastructural renewal projects are ongoing, adding that the present administration in the state does not discriminate on the basis of political leaning, ethnicity, or social class but rather gives opportunities to capable men and women of integrity, who can genuinely contribute to the rebuilding of the state.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Investment Promotions, Public and Private Partnership, Chief Green Amakwe and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Transport, Dr Obioma Nwogbe, explained that the Infrastructural strides of the Governor are clear signals of his administration’s determination to reposition Aba as the commercial heartbeat of the South East, and stressed the need for traditional rulers to sensitize and mobilize their subjects to take part in the ongoing voter registration exercise being conducted by INEC.

In their speeches, the leader of the delegation and traditional ruler of Umuola Egbelu Autonomous Community, Aba North LGA, Eze Love Wogu and the Chairman of Aba North Traditional Rulers Council, Eze Chima Njoku, applauded Governor Alex Otti for his transformative strides across the state especially in Aba North LGA and promised to compliment governments efforts by fostering peace, cooperation and communal support within their domains.
