The Igbo People in Diaspora (IPID) has continued to make remarkable strides in empowering young people across the South East and South South geopolitical zones of Nigeria. With a vision to rediscover the true identity of the Igbo youth, harness their God-given talents, and provide them with the right mentorship and connections, IPID is gradually repositioning young men and women as drivers of positive change in their communities.

IPID Inspires and Empowers Igbo Youths Across South East, South South

Founded and led by a visionary diaspora leadership group, the organization is deeply committed to raising a generation of responsible and purpose-driven youths. IPID’s passion is anchored on the belief that every young person has within them the capacity to transform their environment when given the right tools, guidance, and opportunities.

Through numerous programs, IPID has lifted several youths out of poverty, widened their horizons, and helped them discover sustainable ways of improving their lives.

Recently, IPID successfully hosted a high-impact summit tagged “Igbo Youths Awareness Month” in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital. The event attracted participants from across the South East and South South who were exposed to leadership principles, entrepreneurial skills, and wealth-creation strategies designed to change the negative narratives often associated with young people. For many participants, the summit provided a life-changing platform that opened their eyes to new possibilities.

As part of the outcomes of the summit, participants were tasked with developing innovative business plans, with the most outstanding entries standing a chance to receive what IPID calls “Seed Money.” This initiative, according to the organizers, is aimed at encouraging creativity, rewarding innovation, and giving young entrepreneurs the financial push they need to bring their ideas to life. Such practical interventions, observers note, are part of the reasons IPID is winning the hearts of young people across the zones.

Looking ahead, the group has already unveiled plans for another transformative summit scheduled to take place in Enugu State next year. The upcoming summit will be even more impactful, as it will feature seasoned facilitators, business experts, and inspirational leaders who will train, mentor, and connect the youths to larger networks of opportunities within and outside the country.

IPID is therefore calling on Igbo youths in the South East and South South to identify with its chapters in their respective Local Government Areas and states. By joining hands with other members, participating in its programs, and leveraging its mentorship platforms, young people can take advantage of the wealth of knowledge, exposure, and empowerment opportunities that IPID continues to provide.

Beyond just organizing events, IPID is gradually building a movement of young visionaries who will champion social change, economic growth, and cultural renaissance in Igboland. With its lofty programs, practical interventions, and consistent drive for excellence, the organization is not only changing lives but also reshaping the future of the South East and South South for generations to come.
