History is set to be made on Friday, August 29th, 2025, at Obehie in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, as Chief Horsfall Ajuzieogu Ebere, a highly respected entrepreneur and community leader, formally joins the Labour Party alongside the reform-driven Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.

The event is expected to further strengthen the party’s grassroots presence and consolidate support for Governor Otti’s transformative governance across the state.
Chief Horsfall Ajuzieogu Ebere, a distinguished son of Ulorgo Village in Igiriukwu Autonomous Community, Owaza Asa, Ukwa West LGA, is widely celebrated for his impressive academic background, entrepreneurial ingenuity, and unwavering commitment to community development.

Born into the illustrious family of Chief and Lolo Loveday Nwankwo Ebere, the revered patriarch and matriarch of Ulorgo Village, Chief Horsfall has built a legacy of excellence, rising from humble beginnings to become a formidable voice in leadership and enterprise.
A graduate of English and Literature from Abia State University, Uturu, Chief Horsfall began his career at the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria before venturing into entrepreneurship.
Today, he stands tall as the Managing Director of Hotel De Palmgroove Owaza, Prehorch Oil & Gas Nig. Ltd, Loveday N. Ebere & Sons, and De Horch Hotel Resort & Suites, Oyigbo, Rivers State. He has executed major contracts with Shell, NDDC, NEPL, NIPEX, and other multinational corporations, providing employment for over 100 people within and beyond his community, while ensuring timely payment of wages and contributing to the local economy.
Beyond business, Chief Horsfall holds the esteemed titles of Paramount Chief of Ulorgo Village and Chairman of the Imo River Landlords Association. He also serves as the chairman, Supreme Council of Igiriukwu Autonomous Community, Owaza. Through his visionary leadership and exposure to advanced training programs facilitated by Shell, he has championed community empowerment and development initiatives that have positively transformed Owaza and Ukwa West at large.
As he takes this decisive step of joining the Labour Party in alignment with Governor Alex Otti’s progressive agenda, expectations are high that his political alignment will further reposition Ukwa West and Abia State on the path of sustainable growth, justice, and equity.
