The Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, has identified pride, disrespect for others, pretentious living and lack of vision and purpose as major obstacles that prevent servant leaders from attaining greatness.

Speaking as Guest Lecturer at the ongoing Abia Leadership Academy (ALA) holding at Government College Umuahia, Pastor Ajagba who explained that true leadership is rooted in humility and service, emphasized the need for leaders to put the needs of others first, focus on their growth and welfare, inspire positive change and create an atmosphere of motivation and commitment.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor urged the participants to draw lessons from the exemplary lives of transformational leaders including Jesus Christ, Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama and Governor Alex Otti, who despite facing daunting challenges, remained resolute and committed to living impactful lives and transforming their societies for good.
He further underscored the importance of setting clear goals, cultivating humility, asking questions, engaging in continuous self-improvement, renewing the mind, building meaningful relationships and developing leadership capacity, adding that achieving greatness comes with a price.
In their remarks, the Lead Consultant and Camp Commandant of Abia Leadership Academy, Mr. Johnson Abbaly and the Care Facilitator/Head of Administration, Prof. Adanma Ohia, described the Academy as a youth-focused initiative of Governor Alex Otti administration, designed to raise a new generation of civic-minded leaders who will uphold responsibility, innovation and ethical values in service to society.
In a vote of thanks, one of the participants, Miss Favour Ibezim, thanked Governor Otti for the laudable initiative as well as appreciated Pastor Ajagba for his insightful and inspiring lecture.
The program which attracted the presence of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communication, Mr. Dodoh Okafor, featured question-and-answer session and presentation of three books authored by Pastor Caleb Ajagba to the participants.
