Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti has congratulated the Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba for successfully securing accreditation for its 33 Courses and for also being the first to achieve the feat through Digital accreditation.
Governor Otti who made the commendation while speaking at the September Edition of his Monthly Media parley tagged, “Governor Otti Speaks” said that the feat marks a significant milestone after years of losing accreditation under previous administration.

The Governor commended the Rector, Dr Christopher Okoro for his doggedness and focused-driven style of leadership which culminated in the successes recorded by the institution within the period under review.
Governor Otti noted that under Dr Okoro and his Management Team, the Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic has continued to witness substantial improvements, including Infrastructural Renewal, Academic Innovation, Institutional Credibility, On-line Certification for Graduates and Student-focused System of Education.
According to the Governor, the transformation in the School has been marked by the establishment of new facilities such as Sports Complex, Indoor Games Arena, Gym, Creative Studio House among others.
The State Chief Executive noted that his administration situated the Export Growth Lab within the Polytechnic with a view to positioning it as a hub for Global Research collaboration, technology development, and enterprise growth.
