The US Ambassador to Nigeria, Ambassador Richard Mills, has applauded the transformative leadership style of Governor Alex Otti which cuts across various Sectors of the State’s Economy.

US Ambassador Applauds Gov. Otti’s Transformative Leadership, Pledges Stronger US-Abia Partnership

Ambassador Mills who gave the commendation when he led a delegation of American Diplomats including Consul General, Ruth Swart on a courtesy visit to the Governor, Dr Alex Otti at his Nvosi country home, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area, described it as the real and positive change.

The US Ambassador while reaffirming the United State’s commitment to deepening its Partnership with the State Government, said that their two days Working Visit to the State confirms that Governor Otti’s Leadership has brought positive change.

Ambassador Mills said Governor Otti’s focus on Economic Growth, Youth Empowerment, and Transparent Governance aligns with the Values and Policies necessary to attract US Investment, adding that the United States sees tremendous opportunities in Abia and across the Southeast Region.

He said the United States is keen in building a more robust Partnership to unlock the full potentials of the State and the Southeast Region.

Speaking, while welcoming the delegation, the Governor, Dr Alex Otti expressed delight over the two-day working visit, which he described as a mark of endorsement of his administration’s efforts towards the new Abia Project.

Governor Otti thanked the delegation for their fruitful deliberations with the Aba Business Community in the last two days, noting that the State can add lots of value working together with the United States.

Governor Otti who described Abia as the SME Capital of Nigeria, commended the ingenuity of Local Entrepreneurs, particularly those in Ariaria International Market Aba and highlighted his administration’s reforms in key areas such as Healthcare, Education, Digital Economy, Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (SMEs) among others.

The Secretary to Abia State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba and a host of other Government Officials were present during the visit.
