The Abia State Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Mr Matthew Ekwuribe, has congratulated the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Abia State, Mr Ikechukwu Uwanna and Mr Kelechi Nwaiwu, on their elevation to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

Speaking shortly after their preferment ceremony, which was held at the Hillside Event Centre, Park 330, Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway, Mabushi, Abuja, Mr Ekwuribe described the honour as a well deserved recognition of the duo’s professional excellence, resilience and long-standing contributions to the advancement of justice in Nigeria.
The Hon. Commissioner while noting that their elevation not only speaks volumes of their individual brilliance and hard work but also brings pride to Abia State as a whole, pointed out that the feat is a testament to their unwavering dedication to the rule of law, commitment to fairness and courage in the defence of justice.
He emphasized that the legal profession demands not just knowledge but also integrity and both honourees have consistently demonstrated these values in their careers.
The Arts, Culture and Creative Economy Commissioner further remarked that the recognition of Mr Uwanna and Mr Nwaiwu would inspire young lawyers in Abia and across the country to pursue their careers with diligence, passion and high ethical standards, adding that the SAN title remains a beacon of excellence and a reminder that hard work, perseverance and integrity are always rewarded.
Mr. Ekwuribe prayed for God’s continued guidance upon the new Senior Advocates, urging them to use their new status to deepen access to justice, strengthen democratic institutions and uplift the image of Abia State on the national stage as well as assured them of his full support and that of the entire Arts and Culture sector in celebrating their milestone achievement.
