The Abia State Government warmly welcomes the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to the State on Friday, 3rd October 2025.
A release endorsed by the State Hon. Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, says, President Tinubu will be in Aba to commission a number of strategic road projects recently completed by the administration of Governor Alex Otti.
According to the release, the historic visit is a testament to the transformational progress being recorded under Governor Otti’s leadership and also reflects the renewed spirit of partnership between the Federal Government and Abia State in advancing sustainable infrastructure and economic growth.
It names the following completed road projects scheduled for commissioning by Mr. President to include;
- Port Harcourt Road (dual carriageway, 3 lanes each, with drainage)
- Ohanku Road
- Ndoki Road
-Ajiwe Street
- Umuatako Road
- Chief Nkoro Street and Spurs, Abayi, Aba
- Gabriel Nwosu Street
The release notes that all the commissioned roads have been delivered with modern features, including solar-powered street lighting, now established as the standard in Abia’s road projects, which underscores Governor Otti’s commitment to sustainability, safety and modernization.
As part of the visit, a Civic Reception will hold in honour of Mr. President at the Aba Township Stadium by 10 O’clock in the morning.
