Abia Governor, Dr Alex Otti has assured that his administration will continue to collaborate with faith-based organizations to advance education, social welfare and humanitarian initiatives that positively impact lives and strengthen the moral fabric of the state.

Governor Otti who gave the assurance during the church dedication thanksgiving service of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, 161/163 Azikiwe Road Aba, emphasized that religious institutions play a crucial role in promoting peace, unity and community growth.

The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, while describing the event as a celebration of faith, perseverance and divine purpose, reminded the congregation that God is more interested in the spiritual soul than in any physical structure, adding that what truly matters to God is the purity of the heart and the sincerity of worship.

He congratulated the leadership and congregation of The Apostolic Church Nigeria for the noble achievement and prayed that the place will be a refuge for the brokenhearted, a training ground for spiritual excellence and a beacon of hope in times of despair.

In a homily, the Deputy Territorial Chairman of The Apostolic Church Igboland, Apostle C.N Egede, pointed out that the true temple of God is the human soul that lives in obedience and holiness, not merely the physical edifice built by human hands, and challenged all to reconcile themselves back to God in other to gain everlasting life.

In their speeches, the Member representing Aba Central State Constituency, Mr Stephen Ucheonye, the Mayor of Ohafia LGA, Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu and the Chairman on the occasion, Chief Godswill Ubani, while congratulating the leadership and members of the church for their steadfast faith, unity and commitment to the work of God, also commended them for the vision and perseverance that led to the successful completion of the magnificent edifice.

The church dedication ceremony which featured goodwill messages, prayer for the state government, also attracted the presence of the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Njoku Ukoha Njoku, traditional rulers, the clergy among other distinguished personalities.
