Abia Traditional Rulers Pass Vote of Confidence on Gov. Otti

The traditional Rulers while addressing journalists at the end of an emergency meeting of the council held at the JAAC Building, Ogurube layout Umuahia, noted that no Governor in the history of the state has demonstrated the political will to fix the state more than Governor Alex Otti.

The Royal Fathers in a statement, signed by the Council’s Chairman, Eze Linus Nto Mbah, alongside its three Deputy Chairmen on behalf of others, noted that Governor Alex Otti has within two years and few months in office, dealt with many dilapidated road infrastructure cutting across the 3 senatorial zones of the state in addition to the education sector.

They equally noted that the Governor has retrofitted many abandoned health facilities in the state as well as embarked on renovation and functionalization of Primary Health Centers across political wards of the state.

The Council used the forum to call on the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, to refrain from making statements that could strain relations between Governor Alex Otti and President Bola Tinubu and Abians.

They dismissed the Deputy Speaker’s claims that Governor Otti has underperformed despite receiving substantial funds, describing the statements as unsubstantiated.

They emphasized the need for unity to sustain the state’s development trajectory and urged all parties to avoid actions that could destabilize Abia or incite public discontent.
