The family of the late Pa Samuel Onyebuchi, fondly known as Dee Sam, of Umuokpo Kindred, Umuhute Azueke Autonomous Community, Ndume Ibeku, in Umuahia North LGA of Abia State, has announced the passing of their beloved patriarch, who slept in the Lord at the remarkable age of 102 years.
Pa Onyebuchi was a man of peace, wisdom, and deep community spirit, a father figure not only to his immediate family but to many who crossed his path. His long and fulfilling life stands as a testament to hard work, faith in God and love for humanity.
Burial Arrangements
Friday, November 14, 2025: All-night wake will be held at his compound in Umuhute Azueke Autonomous Community, Ndume Ibeku, where friends, family and well-wishers will gather to honor his memory.
Saturday, November 15, 2025: The body will depart Madonna Mortuary, Aba Road, Umuahia, by 7am, making a brief stop at his maternal home, Umuhu Okpula, Ndume Ibeku, before lying in state at his compound in Umuhute Azueke.
The funeral service will hold by 10am at Ahiaeke Ndume Field, officiated by The Master’s Vessel Ministry, after which interment will follow at his residence.
Pa Onyebuchi is survived by his wife and eight children, including Mrs. Joy Nnenna Onyebuchi, a United States based gospel singer popularly known as Joy N. Praize, alongside many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and relatives who will forever cherish his legacy.
As the Onyebuchi family prepares to celebrate a century of grace and impact, the memory of Dee Sam will continue to inspire generations to come.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
